Abstract: Oracle has released Virtualization Machine during November open world. Off late we have been hearing lot about virtualization from various media and vendors. Not all virtualizations are created equal, there are various types of virtualization and each of them has its own merits. I plan to cover different types of virtualization, its pros and cons. What each vendors offer to IT community and how it can help in deciding which technology is best for you and your company. Additionally, the history, trends and future directions of virtualization will be covered. Target audience: Database administrators, system administrators, architects, IT strategist, managers
Speaker Bio: Vijay has been using Oracle technology for the past 20 years. He has worked at various Charlotte based companies for the past 9 years as a database architect and lead DBA. Vijay regularly attends CLTOUG meetings and is currently working for IBM.
