Date: October 11th, 2001 Location: Royal Sun Alliance Topic: Business Rule Techniques for Speedy Requirements Gathering and Coding This presentation covered a robust, simple, and fast way to gather, categorize, record, and code business rules for an application. The technique is fast and pragmatic. The use of Oracle Designer with custom extensions for automating much of the work will be demonstrated, along with the techniques. (Oracle Designer is not a pre-requisite for using the techniques.) Target Audience: Developers and Analysis and Modelers. Presenter: David Wendelken As one of three principal owners of CASEtech, Inc. David Wendelken has authored many technical articles on Oracle software development and is the co-author of The Designer Handbook (published by Addison-Wesley). He has also been active in user groups such as ODTUG, MAOP, ECO, SEOUG, IOUG-A, and Oracle Open-World. As a member of the international Oracle community for the past decade, David has served on the board of directors for ODTUG and been editor of its technical journal, BriefCase, for many years. David's industry presentations are consistently nominated as "best of conference" by his technical peers.
