Abstract:

1) Oracle Best Practices, database development (ask Tom's view of the world): This presentation will explore developing large-scale, successful applications using the Oracle database as the application development environment. It will explain why you need to understand how the database works, what pieces of the database you need to understand, and why this information is crucial to success

2) Oracle 9i R2 new features for developers and DBAs:  Here Tom will cover many of the hundreds of new features.  Many of the features will be demonstrated using live scripts to show what they do and how they do it.

3) Asktom Live: This is not a "stump the expert session" but rather an open session where Tom will address interesting questions submitted by the attendees.  Time permitting; he'll take ad-hoc questions from the floor as well.
