Topic:  Oracle 9i LogMiner: Beginning to End, Command Line and GUI 

  This mini-lesson covers beginner- to advanced topics of the 9i LogMiner.

This includes an introduction to LogMiner, discussing what it is and why you should care. It covers installation of the standard packages. Then, it discusses preparation and setup, answering the question "how do I make it work?" Attendees learn about mining logs, how to mine and interpret the results. This session also discusses command line versus GUI, going over the advantages and disadvantages. It provides a demonstration of both the GUI and command line versions.

Presenter: Joseph Testa, Data Management Consulting, LLC

Oracle DBA since 1992, currently specializing in backup/recovery and tuning. Have worked with all versions from late version 5 through 9i. Currently testing various aspects of 9i for future upgrades of client databases. Joseph is Oracle 8, 8i and Oracle 9i certified.
